How to read Out-Of-Stock
Last updated: 30 September 2026
Out-Of-Stock shows when your vendor channel drops out: how often Amazon itself has no stock on your products, how long the Buy Box stays suppressed, and what the stock-outs put in play.
For a vendor brand, Amazon out of stock is the supply side of your channel: the share of time Amazon itself had no stock on the listing. Third-party stock is not included. A product Amazon rarely carries reads as often out of stock, so read this share together with the Amazon share of Buy Box time.
The weekly chart counts the Buy Box hours suppressed because of a stock-out. The Exposure per ASIN view multiplies the monthly sales estimate of each product by its recent out of stock share: it sizes what stock-outs put in play, which is the number a supply discussion needs, not a loss report. Products with no published sales volume get a ranking signal only, never an amount.
The Recent episodes view lists each suppression and when the Buy Box came back. The average suppression duration mixes all causes, stock-outs, price and eligibility, because the cause of each episode is not known here: it is not a restock time, and one product stuck for weeks deserves its own look.
