Estimated monthly GMV: what it is based on
Last updated: 21 August 2026
An estimate of monthly sales value at the observed price, shown only when Amazon publishes a monthly sales counter for the listing. Directional by design.
The estimated monthly GMV answers: roughly how much value moves through this listing in a month? An amount is shown only when Amazon publishes a monthly sales counter for the listing. The estimate is that observed volume at the observed price.
When no volume is published, no amount is shown. Rank movements alone are a reasonable way to compare products, and the service uses them to rank priorities, but converting them into money would manufacture precision that does not exist, so it refuses to.
Treat the figure as directional: it can differ from your internal sales data, and it is meant for prioritisation, for sizing what is at stake on a listing, never for accounting. Where GMV appears in a risk figure, it is labeled as a lower bound when some listings had no estimate.
