Content score: what goes into it
Last updated: 21 August 2026
A completeness measure of your listing content against your own category, so weak listings surface. It scores presence and depth, not writing style.
The content score measures how complete a listing is: title, images, bullet points, description and related content elements, compared with benchmarks from the products around yours. Its purpose is triage: surfacing the listings whose content is measurably behind, where fixing content is the cheapest available lever.
It scores presence and depth, not persuasion: a listing can score well and still read poorly, and the score does not judge copywriting. Changes are journaled, so a drop points at what changed and when, which matters because listing content can change without the brand doing anything.
Use it with the Reviews and Buy Box chapters: a weak listing with strong demand is an opportunity, a strong listing losing its Buy Box is a different problem, and the score helps tell them apart.
