Buy Box share: hours held, not points
Last updated: 30 September 2026
The share of time the Buy Box was held by you, your partners, or Amazon selling your products. Measured in hours over the window, so it never overstates you.
Buy Box share answers one question: over the selected period, what share of time was the Buy Box in your hands? Your hands means your own seller accounts, Amazon selling your products, and the partners you declared.
It is measured in hours held, never in a number of checks. Counting checks would overweight busy moments; counting hours weighs a quiet night exactly as much as a contested afternoon. Time when the Buy Box was suppressed counts against you: nobody could buy from you by default. Time when the holder could not be identified, or when the listing had no offer at all, is left out of the share and shown next to it: it is neither yours nor a competitor’s, and a gap in observation never reads as a loss.
Because the definition depends on who counts as you, the number is only as good as your seller declarations. If a distributor of yours is not declared as a partner, their hours count against you and your share reads lower than reality. Declaring sellers is a two minute fix in Settings.
