Why these numbers differ from Vendor Central
Last updated: 30 September 2026
They measure different things from different places. Vendor Central reports your transactions; this service measures the market as it was observed, at each collection.
Differences with Vendor Central or Seller Central are expected, and they are not an error on either side. Amazon reports what happened inside your account: orders, shipments, revenue. This service measures what the market showed to shoppers: who held the Buy Box and when, at what price, with what availability. Those are different questions.
Three structural reasons explain most gaps. First, observation is sampled: the service checks listings at a cadence, so short events between two checks can be missed, and shares are measured on observed time. Second, estimates are estimates: where no exact figure is public, the service builds a directional one and says so. Third, scope: your view here covers the catalogue you declared, which may differ from the set of products in a given Amazon report.
The right use of this service next to Vendor Central is complementary: Amazon tells you your sales, this service tells you what the market did while those sales happened, including the parts Amazon never reports, like time with a suppressed Buy Box or a competitor quietly taking your listing.
If a gap is larger than these reasons explain, send the ASIN, country, dates and your Vendor Central figure. Pierre checks it against the raw observations and replies by e-mail.
