Why no connection to your Amazon account is needed

Last updated: 21 August 2026

The service works entirely from public observation. No credentials, no API access to your seller or vendor account, nothing to install.

The service never asks for access to your Vendor Central or Seller Central account. There is no OAuth grant, no shared credential, and no data pulled from your account. Everything you see is built from public marketplace observation.

This has three practical consequences. Onboarding needs no involvement from your IT or your Amazon account administrators. A security review has a short answer: no account access exists, so none can be misused. And the figures are independent from Amazon reporting, which is exactly what makes them useful in a negotiation: they are not Amazon telling you about Amazon.

The counterpart is honest: without account access, the service estimates some things Amazon knows exactly. See the article on why these numbers differ from Vendor Central.
